Flood, heatwave, fire, industrial accident: when a major crisis hits a municipality, everything comes down to the first few minutes. Each Life Matters is an initiative conceived and led by Dolmo for local authorities. It brings the crisis unit, field teams, residents and neighbouring towns together around one shared overview, before, during and after the crisis.

Our role

From idea to platform

Dolmo conceived the project and leads it from end to end. It brings together our three areas of expertise: digital solutions, design and media production.

Project vision, workshops with the pilot city, service design and coordination of technical partners.

Before · during · after

One tool for the three phases of a crisis

The crisis unit prepares, steers and learns lessons in one place. Artificial intelligence compares what was planned with what is actually happening, in real time. AI suggests, humans decide.

Before · Anticipate

Risk scenarios and an automated municipal emergency plan. Drills and simulations for the crisis unit and field teams. The municipality's know-how preserved and passed on.

During · Coordinate

A real-time overview on one map. Reports from residents through the town hall's channels, mass evacuations, vulnerable people, city resources and citizen mutual aid.

After · Learn

A complete history of the crisis and a post-crisis review. Lessons feed into prevention, plans and the next drills.

Collaboration and coordination

Coordinate the city, connect municipalities

Within the municipality

Residents report in through the town hall app, its social media or its website. The information reaches the crisis unit securely, and the unit coordinates field teams, resources and the protection of the most vulnerable.

Neighbouring towns pool their resources, logistics and shelters. Citizen mutual aid is coordinated with the crisis unit and surrounding municipalities, to move faster, together.
